Dry fly fishing is going off the hook
Laura got to fish her first good dry fly hatch yesterday. I am pretty sure the women flyfishing population has a new lifer.

D Day
Opener is upon us. Some have been tucked away for the past few months into the corners our loved ones allow us to have, tying flies and filling up our boxes. Preparing for that first bit of sunlight to peak over the tops of the coulee region and on to the water that has haunted our thoughts and imaginations all winter. The waters have been rejuvenated with these weird Leap Day rains and our quarry has been left to rest for the past five cold, untouchable months. Good luck to all my friends and as you lean over your bumper Saturday morning to tie your boots grunting from slightly hungover stomach you have compressed don't forget to pinch your barbs and take lots of pictures.
Good Luck everyone

Exparimental Breeding
So after a lot of failed attempts I give you what I am calling the Crack Kitty! a cross between the Zoo Cougar and the Sex Dungeon. This little cat suspends, flashes, zigs and zags and oh yeah drives fish insane.

Warmer thoughts
Winter is here!! Finally we are confined to our homes and out dreams start getting the best of us. Waking up with new fly patters in mind, watching youtube videos of days when the water was soft.. Hang on there guys.. there is a medication for everything,...even Cabin Fever.

Warm up
Sitting at home on Thursday and hanging out with the dogs. A thought jumped into my mind and I realized that it has been awhile since I fished one of the local smallmouth and pike spots in the state. Made my way down there today with a couple of friends and Jim managed to nymph up a couple decent pike.
Cheers,
