Catch up

The end of the season has come. Madison is home again. Muskies are back in the picture, steelhead and browns are on the tip of the tongue and birds are in the sites. Thank you to all of my smallmouth customers for a great summer season and I would like to remind you that smallmouth are not the only spieces that we guide for. If you have a desire to have a fly rod in your hand 10 months out of the year then you are in the right state. The options are truely endless with our diversity in the state. My goal this winter is to update this blog as much as possible so keep your eyes open......Musky, trout, steelhead, salmon, smallmouth, pike

And we're off!

The regular guide season started off on the 3rd and this river just makes you say "Gawd!! I love this place.
We had 6 doubles by the end of the first day and lost track of the fish count by lunch time

 We got alittle goofy

We learned that you should also check to make sure your spool is secured on your reel.....and that they can't take alittle asphault theropy
Thank you guys! Good times had by all.

Pre-Spawn fun

John started the season with a few really nice fish on the swimming bait fish.

The rain made for one sad looking pup

Over all our short window of prespawn was a great time. the river was running at a outrages cfs (cubic feet per second) but the fish still hugged the banks, ate mud bugs, and brought friends closer together.
